Primary Sports Day
Mr Evans, Head of Primary
On Friday the 30th November, Key Stage 2 took part in our 2018 Junior Sports Day event. As we arrived at school in the morning, we were greeted by bright sunshine and a cool breeze – perfect weather for the pupils of Tembo, Twiga and Simba to don their PE kits and compete. For our Year 3s it was their first time competing in our Junior Sports day, but they immediately got in to the spirit of the event and joined in the cheering and supporting of their teammates.
Our pupils, from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, took part in a range of events including 50, 100 and 200 metre mixed relays, shot putt, long jump, sack race and many individual running races. The attitude and team spirit shown by all of our pupils was fantastic and we would like to thank all of the parents and guardians who came and supported the athletes. I would also like to offer my sympathies to Mr Ndungu and Mr Madale after their comprehensive defeats in the male teacher race.
Whilst the Tokyo 2020 Olympics may come a little too soon for our Key Stage 2 competitors, we may have found some future athletics superstars here at Isamilo.
