The students are prepared for the UK CIE Checkpoint exams in English, Math and Science at the end of Year 9, which leads them into the IGCSE requirements. In addition to this, we use the UK levelling system which gives a clear idea of how our students are progressing relative to students in UK schools.

In Years 10 and 11 students follow the IGCSE course. The following subjects are compulsory:
The students are prepared for separated Science, and we encourage students to choose two out of the three (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). Students who are very strong in this subject will be able to take the three separate IGCSE sciences.
In addition to the core subjects students may choose to study up to three, four or five optional subjects from the following three categories:
Students who are strong in English may choose to take English Literature, and students who are first language Kiswahili speakers may take the subject as an extra IGCSE.
Students who are undecided between taking English as a First or Second Language can take the Second Language paper in Year 10. If they do well, they have the opportunity to study for the First Language IGCSE in Year 11.
Students study for a minimum of seven and a maximum of eleven IGCSEs. The majority of students take eight or nine. Where students are not taking an option they will have private study time in the library. Year Ten and Eleven students continue to have non-examined lessons in PSHE.
