The school, unlike most in East Africa, decided some years ago to submit itself to the Standardised Assessment Tests (SATs) which are taken by all children following the British curriculum in UK at ages 11 and 14. We did this in order to get an objective assessment of how well our children are performing. SATs papers are sent by the UK Department for Education and Skills. Results are given in levels. The larger the number the higher the level.
Considering that most children at Isamilo have English as a second language and several only started at our school the previous year, we are very pleased with the children's performance in these tests. The levels achieved are as follows:
