A refundable deposit of TzSh 565,000 is charged when each child joins the school. This money is held in lieu of damage to property, loss of books or non-payment of fees and is only returned on receipt of all school text books and library books.
This fee is each child’s contribution to the future development of the school. Subsequent children of the same parent are entitled to a 50% reduction on this fee. This fee is non refundable.
A reduction of 5% is applied to the whole annual fee if PAID IN FULL 1 week prior to the start of the new academic year. The relevant date for each academic year is available on request from the school bursar.
All termly fees must be paid one week in advance of the start of each new term.
For the 2010-2011 academic year; termly payments must be received before the following dates:
Term 1: 23rd August 2010
Term 2: 27th December 2010
Term 3: 20th April 2011
A 10% discount is only offered to the second and subsequent children (up to a maximum of 4) of any given parent and does not apply to wider family members.
A 10% monthly penalty will be applied to all accounts not settled by the dates shown above.
If you have difficulty meeting these deadlines it is essential that you arrange to see the bursar immediately.
Financial assistance may be available to those families who struggle to meet the cost of their child’s education. An independent sub-committee of the Board of Governors sits and allocates Bursaries in accordance with strict criteria. Bursaries are valid for one academic year only and a new application must be made annually. Bursary application forms are available from the school office and must be submitted before the end of May each year in order to be considered for a bursary in the following academic year. Families receiving financial assistance in the form of a bursary forfeit their right to any sibling or early payment discount.
Up to a 50% reduction in fees may be available to children who demonstrate excellence in areas of academia, sport, music, arts or drama. There are only a very limited number of these scholarships available and they must be applied for, in writing, to the Headmaster.
A full half term’s notice in writing of your intention to withdraw your child from Isamilo International School is required if you wish to receive your refundable deposit. This notice must be handed in writing to the Headmaster. Children who are taken out of school for prolonged periods of time for health or holiday reasons are not entitled to a reduction in fees, even if written notice is given.
Isamilo International School charges fees to cover the full costs of tuition, exercise books, loan of text books and participation in the sports and extra-curricular activities programmes. We usually charge separately for the annual residential and non-residential trips.
Boarding fees include the full costs of boarding care, accommodation, food, laundry and minor medical services provided by the school doctor.
Fees are established in Tanzanian Shillings. The School uses mean Bank of Tanzania rates on the day of receipt to calculate conversion between Tanzanian Shillings and other currencies.
Parents of children in Pre School 1 and Pre School 2 may defer payment of 50% of the Capital Enrolment Fee until their child joins Reception class when the remaining 50% will be due.
