A refundable deposit of £250 is charged when each child joins the school. This money is held in lieu of damage to property, loss of books or non-payment of fees and is only returned on receipt of all school text books and library books.
This fee is only payable from Reception upwards, it is each child’s contribution to the future development of the school. Subsequent children of the same parent are entitled to a 50% reduction on this fee. This fee is non refundable.
A reduction of 5% is applied to the annual fee if paid in full 1 week prior to the start of the new academic year. For 2009-2010 academic year to be eligible for this reduction payment must be received before 24th August 2009.
All termly fees must be paid one week in advance of the start of each new term. For the 2009-2010 academic year, termly payments must be received before the following dates:
A 10% discount is only offered to the second and subsequent children of any given parent and does not apply to wider family members.
A 10% penalty will be applied to all accounts not settled by the dates shown below. If you have difficulty meeting these deadlines it is essential that you arrange to see the bursar straight away.
Financial assistance may be available to those families who struggle to meet the cost of their child’s education. An independent sub-committee of the Board of Governors sits and allocates Bursaries in accordance with strict criteria. Bursaries are valid for one academic year only and a new application must be made annually. Bursary application forms are available from the school office and must be submitted before the 26th June in order to be considered for a bursary in the 2009-2010 academic year. Families receiving financial assistance in the form of a bursary forfeit their right to any sibling or early payment discount.
Up to a 50% reduction in fees may be available to children who demonstrate excellence in areas of academia, sport, music, arts or drama. There are only a very limited number of these scholarships and they must be applied for, in writing, to the Headmaster.
A full half term’s notice of your intention to withdraw your child from Isamilo International School is required if you wish to receive your refundable deposit. This notice must be handed in writing to the Headmaster. Children who are taken out of school for prolonged periods of time for health or holiday reasons are not entitled to a reduction in fees, even if written notice is given.
Isamilo International School charges fees to cover the full costs of tuition, exercise books, loan of text books and participation in the sports and extra-curricular activities programmes. We usually charge separately for the annual residential and non-residential trips.
Boarding fees include the full costs of boarding care, accommodation, food, laundry and minor medical services provided by the school doctor.
Fees are established in TZ Shillings. The School uses mean Bank of Tanzania rates on the day of receipt to calculate conversion between TSh and other currencies.
Parents of children in Pre School 1 and Pre School 2 may defer payment of the Capital Enrolment Fee until their child joins Reception class.

Payers will be charged any transaction fees associated with bank transfers or cheques. Fees can also be paid quarterly or, in special circumstances, arrangements can be made to pay fees monthly or at other times or by other means.
