Girls' Boarding

My name is Kate Weatherley and I am from the UK. I completed my education in the UK and worked in international management consultancy for 6 years before moving into the field of education. I have worked in Tanzania for 4 years, both as a teacher and in community development work and have grown to love its places and people. I am looking forward to my new role as house mother and working with the girls. It's a privilege to work with young people arriving in adulthood and being able to support them in their personal growth and in making good life decisions.

I have always believed that learning is an exciting adventure, full of opportunities for personal development, achievement and enjoyment. Helping young people develop as curious and questioning individuals with a thirst for lifelong knowledge is one of the goals of education. I want boarding at Isamilo to be a pleasant and constructive experience, full of chances discovery and individual growth. I will be assisting and encouraging our boarders to develop as positive and conscientious young women, ready for education and ready for life in every direction. We will live and work together in a calm, welcoming, family atmosphere. Boarders will have great opportunities to thrive here, and I will make sure that they have my full support.
